Eric Wilkinson

My first experience of yoga came whilst travelling in India 13 years ago. This introduction to Hatha Yoga inspired me to continue learning and practicing wherever my travels took me. Since then, I have studied with many different teachers in various locations. In Bristol, I studied with Christopher Gladwell who teaches the Astanga tradition, and also attended regular classes with City Yoga, whose teachers were Iyengar trained, learning the precision and refined techniques that accompany this style of yoga.

My interest in yoga grew, and naturally, I decided to undertake a teacher training course, firstly training through the British Wheel of Yoga and then the Yoga Alliance. I completed the foundation teacher training course with Wendy Teasdill in Glastonbury, and then, upon moving to Sheffield, continued to train with Steve Avian of the Shamayoga School.

I am currently continuing my studies of Yoga, regularly attending workshops and classes, and have recently gained knowledge and become qualified in teaching Yoga for ME / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

I am fully qualified to teach yoga, being registered with the Yoga Alliance, and am also fully insured.

I have experience of teaching yoga to all ages, from children at schools, to the elderly in retirement homes, and have also taught people with special needs. As well as this, I have taught yoga at festivals, gyms, sports centres and community centres.

I have a diploma in Anatomy and Physiology and Indian Head Massage, and have also recently completed a course in Nutritional studies.
